Breaking: Fresno Man Killed In Apparent Drive By Shooting Near Market

A man has been shot and killed in central Fresno, Police are actively looking for the shooter. It happened at around 5:30 Monday evening.

The man was killed walking down the street near Lewis and Thesta in Fresno. The crime occurred near Lewis Market.  He’s described as a hispanic man in his 20’s.

Police are still trying to figure out what happened.  Investigators say the victim was shot walking up the street, and tried to escape by running into an alley.

“The information we have right now is this appears to be a drive by shooting. We’re not going to release details on the leads that we are currently working, but we are actively investigating a homicide here”, said Lt. Steve Card of the Fresno Police Department.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Crimes Stoppers at (559) 498 STOP.  You can remain anonymous, and could receive a cash reward.
