Arson suspect arrested in Hanford

News

HANFORD, California – Hanford Police and fire officials said they responded to three different fires in vacant fields near Aquifer Ave and Glendale Ave.

Police said this area is common for homeless encampments.

There were no injuries reported from the fires and damage was limited to vacant brushland.

The Hanford Police Homeless Assistance Resource Team and Detectives said they investigated the cause of the fires and determined all three fires were maliciously set.

Detectives said they were able to identify a man named Christopher Bonser as the suspect in the Arsons.

Police said Bonser was contacted and interviewed by Detectives and confessed to lighting all three fires.

Bonser was arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail for three counts of Arson.
