Arrest made in Bass Lake home invasion robbery

An arrest has been made in the Bass Lake home invasion robbery that happened Saturday, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Alvin McDonald III, 18, of North Fork, was arrested shortly before 11 a.m.

Sheriff’s personnel are continuing the search for the second suspect, who has been identified as Ray Coleman, 23, of North Fork, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The 77-year-old female victim remains hospitalized in critical condition, the Sheriff’s Office said.

McDonald was arrested on charges of attempted murder, robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon-firearm, elder abuse, conspiracy, and using a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Coleman is wanted on the same charges.
