Armed suspect sought after robbing Subway restaurant

News

Another popular fast food restaurant is hit by an armed robber.

It happened at Subway on the corner of Cedar and Dakota ave around 9p.m.

Police say the man was armed with a small handgun. He waited until everyone was out of the restaurant, he then walked to the employee and demanded money. The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect ran off.

The employee was the only person inside at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30’s, he’s wearing a black shirt and black hat.

Police are hoping to identity him through surveillance video.

They say at this time the suspect is not related to any of the other armed robberies that have occurred throughout the city in the past weeks.

If you have any information you are urged to call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
