If you’re looking for a job take note of this. Tomorrow through Thursday Amazon is hosting a job fair at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Downtown Fresno. It needs workers for its new fulfillment center that’s under construction.

Finding the perfect job or finding the perfect employee, something Rebecca Abell does every day.

“That will be one of the most important decisions you make in your life,” she said.

The Higher Up Staffing Services Owner said big companies like Amazon coming to the valley is a win win.

“More jobs means more opportunities and hopefully more people moving here and building up our economy,” she said.

It’s not just about the company, but job-seekers finding their perfect position.

“I envision someone’s career path like a mountain. You need to be somewhere you can climb because at some point you’re going to reach a peak and you need to be able to coast over that peak. If you don’t climb the right mountain you’re not going to be in the right place for your future,” said Abell.

Finding the right job helps established companies down the road.

“That is the number one make or break for a company. On top of the time, making a bad hire you lose a lot of money,” said Abell.

The job fair will be at the DoubleTree by Hilton in downtown on 2233 Ventura St. It will be Tuesday through Thursday, running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s free to attend.

About a dozen technicians jobs are up for grabs — ranging from mid-level to senior and lead-level jobs. Some of the jobs include maintenance managers, robotic technicians and material handling.

The Fresno fulfillment center was announced in June. It’s expected to bring 1,500 jobs to the area.
