Actress and singer Doris Day has died. She was 97.
The Doris Day Animal Foundation confirmed Day died early Monday at her Carmel Valley home. The foundation said she was surrounded by close friends.
The foundation says Day had been in excellent physical health for her age, until recently contracting a serious case of pneumonia, resulting in her death.
Day is known for her songs “Que Sera Sera” and ” Sentimental Journey”. She also starred in films such as “Pillow Talk” with Rock Hudson and Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Man Who Knew Too Much.”
