FRESNO, Calif. — The 19th Central Valley Honor Flight returned home from Washington DC on Wednesday night.
60 Vietnam Veterans had a chance to go on the trip. This was the first time ever the flight was filled with only Vietnam Veterans.
Other veterans were there to support their comrades.
“We have too much to live for and we can’t go without their help, and their help meant much much more than a lot of people realize,” said Herb Slayton, Korean War Veteran.
During the trip, the veterans got the chance to see the Arlington National Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknowns and a Changing of the Guard.
