54-year-old Fresno man struck and killed by suspected drunk driver near Disneyland, police say

Anaheim police said a 54-year-old Fresno man was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver near Disneyland.

Police said at 11:04 pm Saturday night, officers were called to a car versus pedestrian collision on Disneyland Drive north of Katella Ave. Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said Stefanie
Lyn Biese was driving a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser northbound on Disneyland Drive when she
jumped the curb and struck the victim, as well as a utility box and a tree.

Authorities said the victim, a 54-year-old Fresno man was walking southbound on the east sidewalk of Disneyland Drive when he was struck. The victim suffered major injuries and was transported to UCI Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased.

Police say, the suspect, a 47-year-old La Mirada woman was arrested for suspicion of Gross Vehicular Manslaughter while Intoxicated and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs Causing Bodily Injury after a late night collision in Anaheim. Stefanie Lyn Bieser was booked at the Anaheim Detention Facility on the statutorily established bail of $100,000.
