YUCAIPA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after five people were shot during a family barbecue at a Southern California mobile home park.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department says none of the victims were seriously hurt when gunfire erupted Sunday in Yucaipa.
Officials say three people were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Two others had minor graze wounds.
Investigators say a Chevy SUV drove into the park and its occupants argued with and then threatened to kill people at the barbecue.
The SUV drove off but several people involved in the argument returned and a fight broke out. Investigators say someone fired several shots with a handgun.
Officials say one person has been detained, but that person’s alleged role in the shooting wasn’t immediately known.
