News

Two men are in critical condition after being shot in northwest Fresno on Monday, the Fresno Police Department said.

It happened outside the AutoZone at Figarden Drive and Santa Fe Avenue around 3 p.m.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired, and they found two men on the ground. Medics took the victims to Community Regional Medical Center where they are in critical condition, police said.

Meanwhile, two men are being detained for questioning as the investigation continues.

“So what you’ll see over the next several hours at this location is our crime scene investigators to interview witnesses, to review video and to determine exactly the sequence of events that happened here today,” police Capt. Burke Farrah said.

It’s unknown if the shooting is gang related, but gang detectives are investigating as well.
