18-year-old who died in Tulare County homicide identified

The 18-year-old who died in a Tulare County homicide on Sunday has been identified.

At 5:23 p.m., officers from the Tulare Police Department responded to the area of the 19700 block of Hosfield Drive in regards to a possible body near an orchard, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said.

Officers responded to the location that is across the street from Elk Bayou Regional Park and located the body of a female.

“Something shocking. you don’t expect it,” says Isabel Nevarez, who visits the park with her children.

The area ended up being county jurisdiction, so Tulare County Sheriff’s Violent Crimes detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

She was identified as Dynasty Alexander, of Tulare.

Alexander had visible trauma to the upper torso, and the investigation is being treated as a homicide.

“At this point we haven’t identified any person of interest but what we’re asking if anybody has been near Elk Bayou Park in the City of Tulare and sometime yesterday noticed something odd or anything they might believe was suspicious please contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office,” says Lt. Joe Torres with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit.
