The Visalia Police Department has arrested a man responsible for ransacking the home of an elderly woman.
On January 30th, around 5:18 a.m. officers responded to the 3700 block of E. Four Creeks for a suspicious circumstance call.
When officers arrived they discovered someone gained access into the victim’s home. They say the victim was tied up while the suspects ransacked the home.
The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle.
Thursday morning, while conducting probation searches detectives located one of the suspects involved in the home invasion, 18-year-old Gage Burros. Police say he was arrested for an unrelated warrant. While searching his house detectives say they found evidence tying him to the home invasion. They located a sawed-off shotgun and additional ammunition.
Burros was booked into the Tulare County Pretrial Facility for home invasion robbery, elder abuse, and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.
Officials continue to search for the additional suspect(s) in this case.
Police say the victim’s vehicle, which was stolen during the robbery, is still missing.
The vehicle is described as a 2014 Toyota Corolla, four door, light blue in color, with a California license plate of 7JHA909.
