Valley Performing Arts Council and the Fresno Ballet Theatre invite children ages 5 – 18 to the open auditions of over 100 student roles in the 2019 production of The Nutcracker!

Auditions will be held on Saturday, June 1st from noon to 5:30 pm, at the Fresno State Music Building, with roles for students age 5-18 and are divided into five categories based on height and dance experience.

Specific audition times for each role and category of dancers is available at

www.valleyperformingartscouncil.org

Parents are encouraged to bring their children to audition if they possess a desire to be on stage as many roles do not require dance experience.

This year’s production of The Nutcracker is scheduled for November 29th and 30th at William Saroyan Theatre.

Students will have the opportunity to train and perform alongside innovative professional dancers such as the innovative State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara.

To participate, children must be 5 years old by September 1, 2019.

Dancers may audition for more than one part and results will be announced on the same day as auditions. Parent meetings will be held on audition day as well.

Students accepted to perform in The Nutcracker will be eligible to perform in the new spring production of The Sleeping Beauty.
