Cirque du Soleil, famous for its daring acrobatics and high-flying sophisticated performances, is bringing its latest production Volta to San Francisco.
This year the Canadian company is celebrating its 30th anniversary in the city.
“It’s quite new as a circus show; so they should expect to be surprised,” said performer Charlotte Sumian.
Volta took eight months to create, and there are a lot of firsts.
“In this show we have a lot of wheels. We have BMX and Roller Skate for example, and it’s also inspired by action sports so that’s what makes the difference,” Sumian said.
Volta is also set to electronic dance music, and its message is about self-acceptance.
