(WIVB) – The official Jeopardy account tweeted out a video this afternoon of Alex Trebek announcing he will be back for the 36th season.

Trebek announced back in March that he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

In the video, Trebek thanks everyone who has sent him continued messages of encouragement and support during his continued therapy.

He also mentions that the crew is already working on the next season.

“I look forward to seeing you once again in September with all kinds of good stuff,” Trebek says.
