Six-year old’s lemonade stand raises $3,200 for senior center in Fowler

Central Valley Today

You’re never too young to start giving back, and one local girl is a sweet example of that. Six-year old Karina Cleveland opened her very own lemonade stand and raised about $3,200. Instead of keeping the money herself, every dollar earned will help the senior center in Fowler buy a new T.V. The sales will also go towards the kids closet at her school, to provide clothes and toiletries to classmates in need.

“It makes me super duper happy to help, and I also love a good thing to do!” exclaimed Karina.

Sandra Kalfayan works at the flower shop next to the lemonade stand. She said, “We see them giving back to the community and how much somebody can do when they’re young that they can start out, and who knows what she’ll do by the time she’s 10.”

Karina just wrapped up her lemonade stand on Thursday.
