FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame (FCAHOF) is pleased to announce Inman Perkins as the recipient of the 2019 Harold Zinkin, Sr. Award.
Named for Harold Zinkin, a pioneer in the fitness industry and a 1993 inductee into the FCAHOF, the award has been given annually since 2010 to a deserving recipient (invidual, team or business) that has impacted our community in a meaningful way.
Inman Perkins has been a mainstay at Fresno State baseball games since the late 1970s, when his signature phrase, “It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!” was first heard at Pete Beiden Field. Though Perkins never played for the team, he is arguably as popular as any of the players. They all know his “Go, Dogs, Go!” chant, as do all the fans in attendance who follow his lead at every home game.
Perkins will be recognized as the 2019 Harold Zinkin, Sr. Award winner on Thursday, November 7th at the Fresno Convention Center (Valdez Hall) during the 61st annual enshrinement dinner for the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame
