Bulldogs beat Winthrop on buzzer-beater on ‘Paul George Day’

Bulldog Sports

The Fresno State men’s basketball team put on a show on Sunday.

With Paul George in attendance, Mustafa Lawrence played the hero. Lawrence, a junior transfer from Tallahassee Community College, hit a three-pointer as time expired to give the Bulldogs a 77-74 win over Winthrop.

With the win, Fresno State (1-1) evens its season record. And the Bulldogs did so in front of Paul George, who was at the Save Mart Center to have his No. 24 jersey retired.
