Tom Brady shares his Fresno State family connection. His sister an all-American softball player

Big Game

It’s day 3 of our live Super Bowl coverage! We’re making a local connection.

Did you know the sister of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was an all-american softball player at Fresno State?

Brady spoke about Maureen at a press conference today. He even gave Fresno State a shout-out.

“She was the best athlete in our family. Great competitor. She was an all-American softball player. So much toughness. I remember when I was a kid traveling around and watching them going to their games, their tournaments on the weekends, she’d pitch like six or seven games in a day. And she’d go 7-0 with two no-hitters. It was unbelievable. She’d be exhausted but she was the player that made it happen. And she went on to college at Fresno State, played for a great coach in Margie Wright. And I used to go up and visit her when she was pitching for Fresno State. And watch Trent Dilfer play. They had a great football team,” Brady said.
