Nathalie Vera

Nathalie Vera is a bilingual multimedia journalist joining the KSEE24/CBS47 team as a Morning Reporter.

Nathalie moved to the Central Valley during the start of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, serving the Hispanic community as a reporter and fill-in anchor.

During her time at a local Spanish-language station, she covered stories about the unique challenges the Latino community faced during the pandemic and focused on delivering resources that may have been otherwise unreachable to many families in the Central Valley due to language barriers, rural settings, or government distrust.

Before calling Fresno home, Nathalie worked as a multimedia journalist in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties, where she covered the 2017 Thomas Fire and subsequent mudslide in Montecito.

Nathalie’s broadcast career began in college radio at UC Santa Barbara, where she earned her bachelor’s degree.

She is originally from Lima, Peru (a coastal city in South America more populous than New York City), but grew up in Los Angeles when her family relocated to the U.S.
