Dennis Valera

Dennis Valera has been telling stories for KSEE24/CBS47 since January 2017. Initially, he moved to the Central Valley solely for Yosemite National Park — but he’s grown to love everything the region has to offer.

Since being here, he’s reported on some of the area’s big health care issues, like the doctor shortage. Of course, he’s also chasing the top stories of the day, whether it be a crime scene or a wildfire.

Before the Central Valley, Dennis lived in southeast Idaho where he reported on the rise of the opioid crisis and its effects on the court system.

Dennis grew up in the Chicagoland area and attended Columbia College Chicago where he got his Bachelor’s in journalism.

On his time off, Dennis likes to hike, try out new recipes or restaurants and read. Any recommendations? Let him know!
