Two Cities Marathon & Half This Weekend

Two Cities Marathon & Half runs this weekend. Here's what you should know for race day.
So this is basically like the big party before the race.

This is where you pick up your registration packet, or even register.

You can also pick up some last minute race items before you get to Sunday.

This is part one of the Two Cities Marathon and Half Expo.

Part two picks up Saturday from 10 to 4.

Expo director Aaron Samansky says, "Runners will pick up things like their energy gels, energy bars. They might even pick up another pair of shoes, like the ones they have. Pick up a race day outfit possibly. Get some good info on training groups for next season."

It's basically everything you need to make sure your ready for Sunday's big race...

Or races...

In addition to the full marathon, there's a half marathon, a relay and a kids race.

Organizers expect around 4800 runners Sunday.

Shannon O'Dell will be running her second half marathon.

"It's fun because you are beating your own score, so if you keep running and then improve, then it's fun. it's fun to improve."

Michael Hess will be helping out along the course Sunday.

He ran Two Cities before...

He's also got a marathon in Antarctica to his credit.

If you're not a runner now, this guy just might get you there.

"It changes you as a person. You have a much deeper appreciation for people, for life in general, and then, you just feel better. You're a happier person."

As far as race day, temps are expected in the 40's to start... 60's by the time most runners get to the finish line around 11am...

There are several road closures Sunday that could impact you...

Shepherd from Friant to Willow is closed, as well as Friant from Audubon to Willow.
