San Joaquin River Tour Gives Neighbors Hope

Fresno's homeless problem is getting too close to the San Joaquin River, and neighbors living on the beautiful bluffs have had enough.

Leaders from both sides of the San Joaquin River get a tour of the safety problems that plague the area.

Their new solution is called the Joint Fresno-Madera River Safety Subcommittee.

But can the city and county come together to solve a problem that's not going away?

CBS47's Lemor Abrams talks to neighbors and takes the tour.
