Pine Flat Reservoir at Low Capacity

Pine Flat Reservoir in Fresno County is only holding 16 percent of it's capacity.
        Be prepared for the very real possibility of a dry winter. That's the warning from California State Hydrologists. 
tatewide our reservoirs are at around 77 percent of capacity. But, Pine Flat Reservoir in Fresno County is only holding 16 percent of it's capacity.

        "People  should be aware that we don't have the cushion that we've had in some other years of reservoir storage. If the winter is dry, there's a possibility of a drought," said Maurice Roos with the Department of Water Resources.

         Other reservoirs with low water storage include Shasta, Oroville and Don Pedro.
