Pilot Survives Plane Crash in High Sierra North of Fresno

A pilot flying from Fresno to Sacramento Thursday morning crashed his plane in the mountains and made it out alive.
A pilot survives a plane crash in the Sierra National Forest.

Authorities say the pilot crashed his small plane in a rugged area near Red Lake, which is 5 miles south of Huntington Lake.

A CHP helicopter spotted the piper plane about thirty minutes after the pilot radioed in for help.

Lemor Abrams is at CRMC in Fresno where the pilot was taken is recovering from life threatening injuries.
