Fresno Police Investigate Deadly Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead at a home at Harvard and Marty avenues.
Fresno police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Monday.

Around 1:45 p.m., police responded to multiple calls from neighbors about shoots fired on the 3500 block of Harvard Avenue near Marty Avenue.

When police arrived, a person came out of the house and said someone inside had been shot. The man, who has not been identified, died on scene.

Police say some kind of disturbance led to the shooting. Witnesses tell police that they then saw a vehicle leave the area.

"At this time, we're trying to confirm how many people--we do know that there was a number of individuals that we believe left the area after the incident. At this time we don't have an exact number and we don't know the connection of those individuals," says Lt. John Papaleo with the Fresno Police Dept.

Police have not yet recovered a weapon.

This is as developing story, and police are compiling witness statements to release a vehicle and suspect(s) description.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
