Deputies Investigate Shooting in Central Fresno

One man is wounded after a shooting in Central Fresno. An eyewitness says she saw and heard about 7 shots fired as she looked out her bedroom window.
Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a late night shooting in Central Fresno that sent at least one person to the hospital.

Deputies were on scene at the 3000 block of E. Clinton Avenue between Cedar Avenue and 9th Street.

Around 10:15 p.m., an eyewitness says she was sitting in her upstairs bedroom, when she heard about seven shots fired nearby. She says she could see the gunfire from her bedroom window.

Around 10:30 p.m., an ambulance took away a wounded man from the scene.

A helicopter flew above the area with a search light.

No further details were immediately available.
