Two Dead in Clovis Shooting

Clovis Police are investigating the death of two people in a condominium.
Clovis Police are investigating the death of two people found in a condominimum near Fowler Avenue.

Police say someone called 911 around 5 pm and reported a man in the condo had shot a family member and was going take his own life.

Officers surrounded the complex with weapons drawn. They tried to get the person in the condo to come out but it was too late.

Police say they found two people dead from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. They are still investigating the shooting and could not confirm if it was indeed a murder suicide.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

Neighbors say a husband and wife live in the condo.

"I feel very sad. He was a very nice man. I helped him carry his garbage occasionally. He was in failing health, I know he wasn't very happy," neighbor Cheryl Davis said.

Neighbors reported hearing gunshots and were startled by the police activity.

"It was really intense. With the helicopter and all the cops. It looked like half the police force was out here," Mitchell Riser a neighbor said.
