River Park is removing the Raywood Ash trees that shade parking lots of Target and other stores at their MarketPlace shopping center.
River Park is removing the Raywood Ash trees that shade parking lots of Target and other stores at their MarketPlace shopping center.

Spokesperson Tracy Kashian says, "They're diseased. It's something that happened several years ago and they've progressively gotten worse."

She says the trees are dying.  River Park is removing the Raywood Ash trees.  The roots will be drilled-out.  A new efficient irrigation system will be installed.

The Ash trees will be replaced with Chinese Pistachio trees which require less water to keep healthy.
