Fresno Police are looking for the gunman who shot a man in Southeast Fresno.

It happened on El Monte and Sierra Vista near Kings Canyon and Maple.

Witnesses said the suspect was driving around the neighborhood and appeared to be looking for someone.

Then he parked his SUV and walked up to a small house where several men were sitting outside.

"A Hispanic male snuck up in the alley behind that small house and then shot and it didn't look like the shooting was focused because the rounds were all over the place, but shot at them and struck the juvenile in the arm," said Lt. Joe Gomez, Fresno Police Department.

It turns out the victim is 18 years old and a self-admitted gang member.

Police have not determined whether the victim was the intended target or if the shots were directed at one of the other men at the house.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male wearing a hoodie and aviator sunglasses.

He was driving a white Ford Expedition with a license plate that begins with "5NF".

If you have any information on the shooting you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.
