Man Dies in Accident During Preparations for World Ag Expo

Organizers and participants are mourning the loss of a man that died in an industrial accident Saturday afternoon while preparing for the World Ag Expo.
A man is dead after an industrial accident at the International Agri Center in Tulare.

The accident comes just days before the World Ag Expo is set to open its gates to the public.

It happened around 1:30p.m. Saturday when a man in his 40's or 50's fell off of a moving tractor during preparations for the show.

The man was then run over by a trailer that tractor was pulling and died on scene.

World Ag Expo participants are already mourning this tragic loss and say it will have a big impact on the show.

People say this type of accident is rare among the police, participants and residents we talked to none could recall any accident of this magnitude in the 47 year history of the expo.

The World Ag Expo is expected to open to the public this Tuesday.
