From action on the diamond to music on the stage there's plenty of fun stuff to do in the valley on this hot weekend. It's all in your High Five report.
-The bats will be swinging again in Visalia. Rawhide baseball continues its four-game homestand with Firefighter Appreciation Night. The first 500 fans tonight will receive a free Rawhide plastic fire helmet. Saturday is Military Appreciation Night and it's Family Fun Sunday when kids will get to run the bases.
-Competitors will be flying high in Clovis tonight. The North American Pole Vaulting Association Championships start at 5:30 pm. It's the 20th year the event has come to the Old Town Clovis Farmers Market. While you're there, check out the KSEE Concert Series.
-Lemoore will be 'Rockin' the Arbor,' again. Tonight, "prestige" will perform at the summer concert series. Bring a lawn chair to the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce Arbor from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It's a family fun event, with beer and wine gardens for the adults. Best of all, admission is free!
-Meantime, the Candy Man is paying a visit to Fresno audiences. The Children's Musical Theaterworks presents "Willy Wonka." Watch as some of the valley's most talented 6-12 year olds take a magical tour through Wonka's giant chocolate factory! It's showing at the Veteran's Memorial Auditorium through Sunday.
-Finally, "The Music Man" will come to life on stage in Clovis. The 1957 hit Broadway show concerns con-man Harold Hill, who poses as a boys' band organizer collecting money with plans to skip town without giving any music lessons. It's being presented by Centerstage Clovis Community Theater at Mercedes Edwards Theater through Saturday.
