A hot weekend on tap in the valley and for those of you sticking around to sweat it out, here's a handful of five, fun, family-friendly events happening in the valley in your High Five report.
-The Grizzles are in town this weekend. They're playing the Salt Lake Bees, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, through Sunday. Coming off his no-hitter, Saturday is Tim Lincecum bobblehead night. The Grizzlies will be giving away a limited edition Tim Lincecum Farm Grown Bobblehead to the first 2,000 fans.
-Blackbeard's is having a birthday party and you're invited. The family fun center in Fresno will celebrate its 30th anniversary on Sunday. There will be specials all day long, including giveaways, face painting, a balloon artist, and a band starting at 5 pm. There will also be live and free pirate shows going on at 12:30, 1:30, 3:30 and 4:30pm.
-Prepare to be amazed! More fun for the family, as Selma hosts a magic show. The evening of magical fun and ice cream is Saturday at 5pm. Tickets are $10 and an ice cream social will follow the show. It's being held at the Selma Arts Center. Proceeds benefit the center.
-Lemoore will be 'Rockin' the Arbor,' again. The summer concert series there is well underway. This Saturday "Randy Deaver & Crossfire" will perform. Bring a lawn chair to the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce Arbor in downtown Lemoore from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. It's a family fun event, with beer and wine gardens for the adults. Best of all....admission is free!
-And finally, join the communities of Madera County for the inaugural Yosemite Festival. It'll honor the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act that protected Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. The patriotic festival will be held at the Oakhurst Community Park from 10am-7pm.
