Gang Member Arrested For Possession of Handgun

The arrest came after a 911 call. The caller stated a male with a handgun was trying to break into a house.
Fresno Police Department Press Release:

On Thursday June 19, 2014 at about 330 am the Fresno Police Department received a 911 call. The caller stated a male with a handgun was trying to break into a house in the 3200 Block of E. McKenzie St. Patrol Officers from the Southeast Policing District arrived quickly and saw four subjects walking away from the area. The subjects were detained without incident. One subject identified as Edward Page, 24 years old of Fresno, was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun.

Page a self admitted gang member who has prior felony convictions. This individual was booked into Fresno County Jail for various weapons charges including a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm.

The citizen’s call provided invaluable information to the Fresno Police Department helping us take a dangerous armed gang member off the street. It’s calls like this that allows the Fresno Police Department to continue combat gang violence in our neighborhood and streets.
