Tony Stewart has been making headlines this week for hitting and killing another driver, 20-year-old Kevin Ward, Jr. during a race in New York. Investigators are calling it an accident.

Some are questioning if Stewart intentionally hit Ward.

In 1999 and 2003, Stewart raced at the Madera Speedway. His former crew chief Larry Trigueiro says Stewart would never do anything like that on purpose. He believes Stewart didn't see Ward walking onto the track and towards his car.

"The visions is so small on the right side of those cars, with the new seat and the helmets they wear, you've got a very small window," Trigueiro says.

Video of the accident shows Stewart and Ward possibly crash. Ward's car spins to the edge of the track and then he gets out. As Stewart starts coming around again, Ward is walking to his car and is hit.

Investigators say they are not looking at criminal charges but there are still looking at what caused the crash.
