Eyewitness News Investigates: The Baby Bump

A Clovis consignment store shut down, leaving local moms frustrated. They say the owners owe them money. CBS47's Zara Arboleda investigates.
"The Baby Bump" Consignment Store shut down in Clovis last week, leaving customers frustrated and upset. One woman tells Eyewitness News, the owners owe her $138 for items of hers that had already sold. Many customers also had merchandise there that was supposed to be up for sale. However, when the business shut down, the owners took all those items and donated them to a local non-profit agency.

The Better Business Bureau is asking customers of "The Baby Bump" to file a report with them. The case file could get forwarded to the Fresno County District Attorney's Office.

The owner is listed as Sano Faapouli, who opened the store in November of 2009. An email sent to the Eyewitness News after our story first aired, says the owners have filed for bankruptcy and customers can send an email to this address: thebabybumpstore@yahoo.com
