Eyewitness News Investigates: Fresno Firefighter Insurance

Fresno Firefighters rejected a contract that lowers the city's coverage of health insurance premiums from 80% to 75%. CBS47's Zara Arboleda investigates rates in other California cities.
The Fresno City Council has voted to implement a new contract with the Fresno Fire Department. This comes one day after members of the union voted not to accept the proposal. One of the biggest issues is the cost of health care plans. The new contract lowers the city's responsibility for paying insurance premiums from 80% to 75%. City Hall says the move still keeps rates competitive with what other similar cities are doing around California.

CBS47's Zara Arboleda investigates.
