Executive Director of the Susan G Komen Central Valley appeared on Sunrise to clear up any confusion women may have about when and how often to get mammograms. Guidelines state that women should start mammograms at age 40 every two years; however; Susan G. Komen's stance is that they should be on an annual basis. There are certain requirements for women at age 40 to start getting mammograms. A new Harvard study says the majority of women who die from breast cancer do not have regular mammograms.
