Celebrating a Year of Finding Animals "Forever Homes"

A celebration was held Saturday for the largest no-kill shelter in our area.
A big celebration was held Saturday for the biggest no-kill shelter in our area.

Cat House on the Kings marked the one year anniversary of their adoption center inside Petco on Blackstone in North Fresno.

City Councilman Clint Olivier commended the cat house for finding homes and saving the lives of 500 cats and dogs at the adoption center.

The goal was to make it easier for potential pet parents.

"I thought if we could have some place in Fresno that we could do adoptions. We could increase the amount of adoptions we did and hence save more cats and more dogs," Tammy Barker from Cat House on the Kings.

The adoption center is open seven days from 10a.m. to 5p.m. inside the Petco near Blackstone and Ashlan.

You can see the animals up for adoption on the Cat House on the Kings website before you visit the adoption center.
