Christmas Tree Disposal

Follow these tips when you're ready to take down the your Christmas Tree.
Remove the Christmas tree from its stand, and remove all ornaments and anything that isn't organic. Cut the tree into three-foot lengths or less. Dispose of the tree in the green waste bin.

Check individual rules of the city where you live. Some cities will remove Christmas trees that are left on curbs for a certain amount of time, while other cities may fine you for disposing of Christmas trees improperly.
