Visalia police have arrested three suspects wanted for burglarizing more than a dozen homes in the past four months. The suspects are 23-year old Frankie Hernandez, Adrian Meraz and Patrick Ragland. All of the men live in the city of Tulare. Friday, officers found them in a car together during traffic stop at S. Roeben Rd. and W. Tulare Ave.
"That's encouraging, encouraging news," said Denise Garza, a resident of Beverly Glen.
Denise Garza lives in Beverly Glen, an older, upscale neighborhood in Visalia. Three burglaries happened there last Friday alone. Since then the thought of a break-in has consumed her life.
"You know you try to think about should we stay home, should we go? What could we do to try to keep it from happening?" said Garza.
Fortunately, police intervened and arrested the burglary suspects who have allegedly left a trail of evidence all across the city dating back to June.
"From video taken from residential homes that identified them being involved in these crimes, fingerprints on 13 different cases," said Cpt. Jason Salazar of Visalia Police.
Police have recovered some stolen property, but hope to find more. detectives are serving search warrants at all of the suspects' known addresses.
"We believe we'll have numerous other charges we'll be able to submit to the district attorney's office in relation to their involvement in residential burglaries," said Cpt. Salazar.
"It's nice to know the police are doing the best they can. In this neighborhood we've been through a lot. Hopefully these guys, this will put a dent in things and we're going to take back our neighborhood," said Jeff, a resident of Beverly Glen.
Police are encouraging residents to continue being vigilant. Either by installing surveillance cameras or using their eyes. That way they can nail down evidence that officers can use to solve case like these here.
