Local Election Results

Results are pouring in from the June 3rd Primary Election.
Final numbers are in from the Fresno County Office of Elections, but some local candidates began celebrating their win early.
Fresno Mayor Ashley Swearengin received most of the votes for State Controller.  As of Wednesday morning, Swearengin has over 24% or over 713,000 of voter approval for the position.  She held an election celebration Tuesday night, excited to continue in her campaign for State Controller.  Her name will appear on the November ballot.
Swearengin isn't the only one celebrating, Lisa S. Smittcamp also won the seat for District Attorney.  She has currently received over 58% of votes to Elizabeth Egan's 41%.
Fresno City Councilmembers will welcome a new face to the District I seat; Cary Catalano who received the most votes over Esmeralda Soria, Rama Dawar and four other candidates.
Oliver Baines also received the most votes to continue in his position as Fresno City Councilmember for District 3.
Sal Quintero and Clint Olivier will also maintain their positions as City Councilmembers according to the latest results. votes for Olivier toppled the votes for Mike Wells, Art Gonzales and Mauro J. Saldate.
It's a close call for Fresno County Supervisor for District One.  Brian Pacheco is leading the race currently with over 37% of votes and Blong Xiong has over 35% of the votes.
Buddy Mendes is in the lead for District Four for Fresno County Supervisor.
Paul Dictos is in the lead for Assessor-Recorder.
Jim Yovino is also leading in the race for Supervisor of Schools.
Brandi Orth will continue in her position as Elections Clerk for the County of Fresno.
Sheriff Margaret Mims will also retain her position as Fresno County Sheriff.
