Woman who Fresno Police say was killed by her boyfriend Friday identified

FRESNO, California - The woman killed in southeast Fresno on Friday has been identified.

Charity Depina, 22, of Fresno, died at Community Regional Medical Center after an apparent assault.

Police were dispatched to a home by Illinois and Winery avenues on at 3:42 p.m. after getting a call for an unconscious female victim.

When they arrived, they found Depina with trauma to her upper body. After receiving some first aid treatment, the victim was transported to CRMC. She died there hours later.

Her boyfriend, Gabriel Salinas, 43, was charged with homicide.
