Woman found dead in Fresno County canal on Sunday identified

FRESNO COUNTY, California - The woman found dead on Sunday afternoon in a Fresno County canal has been identified.

Debora Deaver, 48, of Fresno, was found in a dry canal near the intersection of Brawley and Jensen avenues.

Homicide detectives are investigating the case which is being considered a "questionable death," the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said.

A cause of death has not been determined and is pending the results of toxicology tests, the Sheriff's Office said.
