Victims in deadly Highway 168 crash identified

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. - The Fresno County Sheriff's Office identified the two men who died in a crash on Highway 168 on Tuesday.

They are Austin Wagenleitner, 20, of Clovis, and Aaron Beasley, 19, of Clovis.

The California Highway Patrol identified the survivor as Jason Kirby, 24, of Clovis. He was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.

Kirby was in the backseat of the car. The two in front died. Officials said they don't know how long the truck was stuck on the side of the mountain but that it happened sometime between last Monday and Tuesday.

Officials said the three in the car left Clovis on Monday around 9:30 p.m.

Tuesday around 11 a.m., a Cal Fire truck passing by noticed the truck on the side of the road and notified an officer who when arrived on scene heard a man yelling for help.
