Victim Dragged By Cell Phone Thieves In Madera Ranchos.

Holds On To Suspect Vehicle For Dear Life

An unidentified 62-year old man was injured by thieves as he made a desperate attempt to retrieve his stolen Iphone.  It happened at Lucky 7 Gas Station on 12th Avenue in Madera Ranchos.  The entire incident was caught on surveillance video, along with clear images of the suspects involved.

Investigators say the man parked at the gas pumps and went into the store. When he returned he saw an unidentified hispanic female in her early 20's inside his vehicle.  The victim yelled at the suspect to stop as she exited the vehicle holding the stolen Iphone.  Instead of stopping the woman got into a blue/green colored Chevy S-10 pickup with state of Washington plate number #AQX8488, which was occupied by two unidentified men.

As the victim grabbed the suspect trying to retrieve his cell phone the truck sped off, dragging the victim out of the parking lot, then back into the parking lot. As the suspect vehicle drove onto Avenue 12 into head on traffic, the victim was thrown to the ground, cutting his head.

The 3 suspects involved had entered the store before the incident, and all were photographed.

Anyone with information that could lead to an arrest is asked to all the Madera Sheriff's Office at (559) 675-7770, or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP.  You will remain anonymous and could receive a reward.
