Two women, newborn killed in Five Points area crash

FIVE POINTS, Calif. - UPDATE: An earlier version of this story said the 16-year-old was actually 10. Law enforcement provided corrected information which said that he is 16 and was dating one of the victims.

A newborn died Monday, and the two people killed in a crash on Highway 145 north of Elkhorn Avenue near Five Points on Sunday have been identified.

Joanne Marisela Delgado, 18, of Kerman, died. She was the pregnant woman in the Honda Civic. She was in her third trimester and gave birth just before she died, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said.

The female newborn died early Monday at Valley Children's Hospital, the Sheriff's Office said. A 16-year-old was in the Honda Civic and is hospitalized with injuries. He was reportedly Delgado's boyfriend, California Highway Patrol said.

Adriana Solorio Romero, 24, of Five Points, also died. She was the only person in the Kia Optima.
