There are three Crime Stoppers cases ...with rewards waiting to be claimed... waiting for someone to come forward.
It's been a difficult year for the family of Vanessa Oviedo.
The mother of three was expecting her fourth child last November.
Vanessa was 27 years old... working two jobs... and planning to go to college - but that was all taken away.
She was in a car with her eleven-month-old daughter and three other adults when a car pulled up next to hers at a stop light.
Vanessa was shot twice in the head.
She clung to life... until she got to the hospital... and her son was safely delivered. She died 15 minutes after her son was born.
Police say Vanessa was not the intended target that night and that the shooting was connected to gangs.
"We believe that there are people out in the public who know information in this case and we're asking that they come forward," said Visalia Police Detective Celeste Sanchez
There is a $5,000 Crime Stoppers reward - and Vanessa's family is pleading for that help.
North of Visalia...
another family is about to mark two years since the senseless murder of a husband and father at the Shields Express Mart in Northwest Fresno.
Police just received new evidence in the case. There are new images from security video that captured the savage murder of 68-year-old Gurcharn Gill.
It was New Years Day, 2016.
Gill was working in the Shields Express Mart - alone - when the suspect walked in.
"He struck up a conversation with Mr. Gill and lead him over to that area and during this unprovoked confrontation stabbed Mr. Gill several times, " said Fresno Police Detecitve Antonio Rivera.
The FBI enhanced the security video and it shows a clear profile of the suspect's face.
Police believe he's in his teens. He was wearing a distinctive sweatshirt.
"Maybe somebody will recognize him or recognize what's depicted on the sweatshirt, any information that maybe the public can assist on," Rivera said.
there is another family in Fresno waiting for the killers who murdered their husband and father ... to be brought to justice.
It will be three years in December... since 85 year old George Sheklian was murdered during the robbery of a gun store.
Sheklian was bringing coffee to his neighbor, the owner of Fresno Firearms, when two masked men who had just robbed the gun store ran out the front door.
The suspect rushed out and forearmed him.
Detective Bart Ledbetter says one of the suspects is behind bars... on a different charge.
Police are still looking for the smaller of the two suspects... who Ledbetter believes lives in Fresno.
"I'll take any information anonymous or face to face. i'm hoping for that one courageous citizen to come forward and say Ledbetter i know something, here's what i know."
So far, police have recovered four of the thirteen stolen guns.
Anyone with information on these cases is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP.
