Suspect charged in connection with stabbing death of Selma man

SELMA, California - Selma police have charged 26-year-old Joshua Hernandez for the stabbing death of 25-year-old Cory Smith. 

On March 6 shortly after 5:30a.m police responded to the 2500 block of McCall Ave. for reports of a stabbing. 

Smith was suffering from multiple stab wounds, he was rushed to the hospital were he later died. 

Through an investigation police deemed Hernandez as the prime suspect. He was taken into custody on charges of homicide. 

This is the second homicide in Selma this year.
