LEMOORE, Calif. - UPDATED: This story previously listed only one juvenile victim in this case, but new information says there are, in fact, two.
A suspect has been arrested in connection to the shooting of two children, ages 4 and 5, along with three adults in April, the Hanford Police Department said Friday.
The Kings County Gang Task Force responded on April 21 to a shooting which injured two adult victims and one child.
During the investigation, authorities found that another child was also hit by a stray bullet along with another adult victim.
A vehicle in the area was struck by a stray bullet which came close to striking the owner, police said. In total, investigators said there were six victims in the shooting.
During the investigation, police identified Darrien Washington, 19, of Lemoore, as the shooter.
Washington was arrested on April 30 during a SWAT team search along with Anthony Jacobs, 18, of Lemoore -- who was arrested on gang-related charges and disturbing the peace, police said.
Both men were booked into the Kings County Jail.
